CIPROMAX is indicated for the treatment of infections in poultry and swine caused by Gram-negative bacteria, such as Colibacillosis (Escherichia coli), Salmonellosis (Salmonella typhimurium; S. enteritidis), and by Gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes.
CIPROMAX should be administered orally, diluted in drinking water or mixed into mash and/or pelleted feed according to the directions for use.
Poultry: 7 mg of Ciprofloxacin per kg of body weight, for 7 consecutive days.
100 g of the product in 1000 liters of drinking water.
200 g of the product in 1000 kg of feed.
Swine: 10 mg of Ciprofloxacin per kg of body weight, for 3 to 5 consecutive days.
200 g of the product in 1000 kg of feed.
Do not administer the product to laying hens whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
Use in young animals is not recommended, as quinolones in general may cause erosion of joint cartilage.
Avoid using in combination with complex solutions containing iron, zinc, magnesium, calcium, and/or aluminum, as they reduce the product's absorption. Avoid using the product in animals during pregnancy, lactation, and growth phases.
Attention: observe the following withdrawal periods:
Broiler chickens: Slaughter: animals treated with this product should only be slaughtered 13 days after the last application via drinking water.
Broiler chickens: Slaughter: animals treated with this product should only be slaughtered 17 days after the last application via feed.
Swine: Slaughter: animals treated with this product should only be slaughtered 2 days after the last application.
Using the product under conditions different from those indicated on this label/package insert may result in residue levels above the approved limits, making the animal-derived food unfit for consumption.
Sachets containing 100 g and 1 kg, and multi-layer paper bags lined with plastic, containing 5 kg and 25 kg of the product.
The product remains stable for 30 days after being mixed into mash and/or pelleted feed.
In its original sealed packaging, the product's validity is 2 years after the manufacturing date.
